So tonight was one of those nights… my iPad was dead and wouldn’t even turn on. I discovered it was actually 12 years old! It must have played a lot of Zumba tracks over the years though, so had a good life 🎶 Then my mic batteries went flat and my stage broke as we packed it away 🤦‍♀️ Once upon a time, I would have had a melt down, but being a part of our wonderful Zumba family makes me feel that I am supported and whatever happens is OK. In the end it all worked out, I used my phone with a temporary playlist while Tracey went home to get my laptop and the wonderful Paula Perrett helped on the door. We danced, laughed and de-stressed and I certainly felt the Zumba love in the room. Zumba is my safe space and I hope it is yours. Thanks for dancing with me, it’s a special connection we all share and I’ll be ready for you next week with a new iPad, fresh batteries and a fun playlist 💃We’re taking a break during the first 2 weeks of April for the Easter hols, so try and join us next week if you can. Watching this dance reminded me that it’s almost 3 years since we went into lockdown and moved all of our classes online. I think this was filmed near the start when we are all kind of hoping it would only last a few months. I remember it was so hard dancing without you guys in the room with me. Not seeing your smiles, feeling your energy or hearing your whoops 😟 I do know that as hard as it was filming classes for more than two years (later filming live classes), it was what kept me going mentally and helped me and Tracey stay fit and active while we were stuck inside. The good news is that we CAN dance in person again and feel the amazing energy in the room. Get yourself back to class, you won’t regret it 🎉 ✅Monday and Wednesday at 6pm- Yate Academy sports hall✅Tuesdays at 10am – St Saviours church hallLet’s all take a moment to be grateful for the position we are now, in 3 years later. We got though it and we did it with each others help 💜I’m sending get well hugs to those of you who are poorly right now 🤗Zumba love,Jodie xx See MoreSee Less
